YKDFN High School Achievement Award
The program was established by YKDFN Chiefs and Council with financial contribution from Diavik Diamond Mines Inc. (DDMI) to support and encourage beneficiaries to complete their high school education and go onto post-secondary pursuing academic excellence.
Be advised, all applications received will be processed in accordance with the criteria and completed application requirements. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

YKDFN Education Bursary.
YKDFN Education Bursary Program was established by Chiefs and Council with financial contribution from Diavik Diamond Mines Inc. (DDMI) to support and encourage YKDFN Membership to pursue academic excellence and ensure access to quality education.
All applications are considered and will be processed from the date received at the Yellowknives Dene First Nation’s office, provided that the applicant meets the education program criteria, guidelines, and submits all required information and documentation as set per program. Once an application is received, it will be processed, reviewed, and decided by the Chief. We recommend applying early as possible prior to starting your year of study. Be advised that incomplete applications and missing information/documentation will delay the process. The waiting period is appx. 2-3 weeks.

Scholarships – (to be announced)
Yellowknives Dene First Nation will be accepting one (1) General Scholarship Application to automatically apply for our two (2) scholarship programs with our affiliated IBA mining companies. This will ensure a simple application process for students that we hope will find helpful. Though each scholarship program has its own objectives and separate Selection Committees to assess applications and select based on eligibility criteria and application requirements. YKDFN/Diavik Diamond Mine Scholarship & YKDFN/De Beers Canada Scholarship – Application
The scholarship program is supported through the efforts of the YKDFN/DDMI Participation Agreement and the commitment to support and encourage students to achieve higher education. Eligible are those members who demonstrate a financial need to pursue post-secondary education, and who meet the application criteria outlined in the application package.

YKDFN & De Beers Canada Inc. Scholarship – (to be announced)
The Yellowknives Dene First Nation and De Beers Canada Inc. Scholarship Program are now open to applications. Jointly administered by the Yellowknives Dene First Nation (YKDFN) and De Beers Canada Inc. (DBCI), the scholarship program was established to encourage YKDFN Members to continue with education and pursue academic excellence. The scholarship program is open to YKDFN Members. Be advised that all applications received will be processed in accordance with the Applicant Eligibility Criteria and completed Application Requirements. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
Dominion Diamond Scholarships – (to be announced)
Dominion Diamond offers scholarships to encourage academic excellence within the communities of Dettah, N’dilo, and Lutsel k’e. The scholarship program will assist the Akaitcho people to prepare for future leadership roles in mining and other industries.
