Every Yellowknives Dene First Nation member and his or her family are entitled to live independently, in an affordable house suited to their needs.
The Yellowknives Dene First Nation Housing Division purpose is:
- To provide affordable housing to families of the YKDFN membership to educate and prepare tenants for homeownership and/or to be responsible tenants.
- To administer and maintain 77 public housing and senior home units within Ndilo and Dettah on behalf of the NWTHC.

General Information
The Housing Division office and shop are located in Ndilo and can be reached by phone at (867) 920-4403 and by fax at (867) 873-3563. The mailing address is:

Public housing tenants can call Nora Sangris with their requests for maintenance or repairs to their unit. Nora can be reached via email at nora_sangris@gov.nt.ca.

Tenant Relations
Public housing tenants can contact Natasha Landry with inquiries about their lease agreement or rent account.
Under NWT Housing Corporation’s public housing policy, all public housing tenants must file their taxes yearly in order to have their rent subsidized for the year.
Maintenance
Maintenance responds to all requests in a timely manner. However, public housing tenants are reminded that heating and plumbing system repairs and tenants’ safety issues have priority and can delay response time to non-priority maintenance requests.
